Ok I'll startMany things in my life have given me those moments of breathlessness.One example.. I went to Rome in 2000, It was the first and actually only time I have left the borders of the U.S.I have always been a huge history buff, the more ancient the better, and so while there I of course visited the coloseum.As I stood there it sank in just how many hundreds of thousands of people had lost their lives on the very grounds where I stood.And how many others had sat there enjoying the spectacle of watching people being ripped apart by bears, lions, gladiators, and what not.The amount of blood that had soaked into the earth there would be absolutely staggering could it be measured.The magnificance of the place itself, the architecture, the age of it, and the fact that it was still standing all these thousands of years laterIt was a breath taking experience that I will never forget!!!
