It may be the fact that the economic stimulus package that we are all looking forward to is simply a loan given to you on next years taxes.
If this is true it means what you receive this year will be deducted from what you would recieve next year.
In other words, you are getting your own money, and not some great ass gift from the government.
So when members of congress stand up and puff out their chests in self-congratulatory stances consider this....

"The Administration and Congress have announced an economic growth package that would provide advance payments to many Americans.
***notice the word "advance"***
Several news outlets have also reported this to be the case.
You will simply be getting a loan on your own money!!

Oh, and note the "Appropriations To Carry Out Recovery Rebates" section. The administrative costs to carry out this possible sham are $250 million.
Anyway, I am determined to find out the truth about this before I am surprised next year when I go to fill out those tax forms!

this stimulus package is BS from the beginning. most people who were polled said they would use it to pay off debts or just save it. and regardless what wording is being used. in the end the money being given out is from people paying taxes in the first place. so just u getting some of ur money back.
also, anyone who spends their money is going to be helping so other nations economy since nothing or hardly anything is manufacture here. u go to wal-mart, target or wherever. and when yu buy something sure it helps the retail store out. but to replenish the items bought. companies will be putting orders in with china, indoesisa, etc. to manufacture more of those items...hence contributing or helping their economies too.
i wish our govt would make companies who manufacture overseas pay a penalty for producing products outside our borders. and if the company manufactures in america then they can get some small tax break or something. even though companies would pass this penalty tax onto the consumer and prices would rise. it would give companies incentives to make their products at home. with the incentives they could save money hopefully which could keep the product at the current rate or only raised a little compared if manufactured overseas.
at the sametime companies would be employing ppl at home who would be paying taxes, so more money to our govt to fix some of our problems and more ppl off social welfare programs. so the price goes up a bit more. in the end and long run. we would be helping our own ppl, govt and economy. customer service and quality would be better and most ppl won't have a problem paying a bit more to know we are helping ourselves and not some other ungrateful country who hates us anyway.
freaking liberals are going to kill the american way of life, culture and even our sovereignty. liberals want to come off looking like they're the good guys and saving us. when they're just leading us down a road towards socialism. for me i prefer to pay a little more to ensure we don't become a socialistic society. just look at canada and the UK they're close to socialism...if not there already there. and people cant see a doctor for a month. some canadians are coming to america for surgical procedures because it can be done in out-patient and within a quick time frame, opposed to waiting a month or two.
